Xander Says Hi!!!!

Jan. 28
Phase four has started slow. Xander is showing a slight lack of balance, and fatigue. The prednisone hasn't had a chance to kick in very much yet, but already there is a personality change. People tend to be a bit cranky on prednisone. I'll post a listing of phase four meds and side effects latter this weekend, as well as
a time frame for when Xander shifts from one med to another.

Jan. 25 Xander is great. He starts phase 4 on Thursday. New pictures have been added to snow mobile day
Jan. 17
I'll update on the snowmobile party later. Xander is feeling great. I've updated a the Christmas party page with some picture with more to come latter today. Nasty Chemo starts next thursday so check back.

Jan 14th
Xander is great today. Sunday is the big Candle lighter snow mobile day. He is almost over his cold and SO EXCITED!!! I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Jan. 8
Xander still has a cough, but is better today. He lost a front tooth today that the dentist told us 2 years ago should fall out any day. He is delighted. The tooth fairy will bring him two dollars tonight some time.
Jan.  7
Xander has a cold today. It seems to be a virus so
Hopefully it will not lead to a trip to Dorenbecher Hospital. It did lead to a late night phone call to the Dr. when a nose bleed refused to stop. The Dr. and I agree that it probably isn't a low platelet count so we are just watching for now. It means a all nighter for me, but he will be fine. Phase 4 starts Jan. 26th and its going to be a bad one. The first 4 weeks are made up of meds. that cause Xander to be nauseated and week. The second part of Phase 4 will drop his blood counts dangerously again. The 5th day of phase 4 he receives a shot that can cause him to go into anaphylactic shock any time in the two weeks that follow. Harsh I know, but cancer is much harsher.
